Mcam Building Design P/L was established in 2007 by Mamady Camara, a Registered Building Designer (Architectural Design) with many years of experience gained in working with Architects, Building Designers and Construction Companies in Australia and overseas. At Mcam Building Design, our professional knowledge and skill-base is derived from a team who are dedicated to excellence in Architectural Technology and Design.

Our area of expertise has a focus on meeting the needs and aspirations of our clients from unique, livable, and sustainable designs. Our design team have extensive experience in dealing with all Melbourne and regional Victorian Council’s and have expert knowledge in State planning policy framework, National Construction Code, (NCC) as well as building regulations. We work hard at making our clients’ experience an enjoyable one.

Our clients are always taken as having unique and individual requirements, making each project individually designed and tailored to suit. Using cutting edge Architectural Design Technology, we deliver designs which are creative, functional, practical, and easily communicated to the client by employing the latest virtual reality programs and platforms. In this way, we can demonstrate how the design concept will come to life and how our clients will be able achieve their dreams.

We work closely with our clients, builders and contractors to ensure that excellence is achieved at all levels of the design and construction process. We seek to allow all designs to be informed through an appreciation of the client’s needs of design criteria, budget, and timeframe. We work hard in providing a high value service at the right cost and delivered in the quickest possible time.

We are a Registered Building Practitioner with the Victoria Building Authority (VBA) , registered member of the Building Designer’s Association of Victoria (BDAV)) and we have all applicable Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurances.

Dr. Mamady Camara - Director / Founder

Over 15 years of combined local and overseas experience in the building industry, Mamady is a qualified and Registered Building Designer highly experienced in the residential building design.

Mamady has completed extended studies in the Design & Construction Management fields and was awarded over the years’ multiple degrees: PhD in Contraction Management, Master degree in project Management, Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering and Building science [Building design], Diploma of construction Management and Certificate of Carpentry.

Emmanuel Cilia Building Designer Consultant

Emmanuel has over 30 years’ experience in Construction and Renovation & Extensions, Multi-Unit Development, Town Planning and New Home. He has been a valuable member of our team for many years and his extensive Architectural design knowledge brings a cutting age to any project he undertakes.

Yaya Soumah Senior Draftsperson

Yaya recently joint Mcam as experienced Building Designer & draftsperson mainly experienced in new home drafting, Renovations and Extension. Yaya has over seven years local and international experience in the drafting field and he brings to our business a sharp mind and extensive attention to detail.

Diaka Camara - Junior Draftsperson

Diaka is curently a Building Design Student at Melbourne Polytechnic. With two years’ trainee experience as a draftsperson in the industry she has shown interest and great potential in the area of new home drafting. Diaka brings a new and young vibe to the team as well as innovative ideas and trends among the young Australian demographic.

Geta Vasile - Admin Officer

Geta has been part of the Mcam Team for over five years and is responsible for all office administration, payroll, building quotations and client communication duties. Her excellent organizational skills and passion for helping others ensures that all of Mcam’s projects run smoothly and efficiently.
